About the event
UDINZ members are invited to an event where George Weeks, Principal Transport Advisor at Auckland Council will set out the conclusions of a report written for Auckland Council on CRL benefits realisation. George is leading a project developing automated performance measures for the City Rail Link to better track and maximise its long-term benefits as it moves into full operation. That work focuses on creating continuously updated metrics that capture changes in travel patterns, urban development outcomes, accessibility, and equity, while also strengthening transparency and aligning with recommendations from the Office of the Auditor-General. George will present the key conclusions from this work, followed by a panel discussion.
The panel, facilitated by UDINZ CEO Adrienne Miller, will bring together George Weeks, Tamba Carlton from CBRE (who has released a report on the impact of CRL on private sector land values) and Roddy Benton, (NZ Transport Planning Leader at Arup NZ), to explore the wider implications of the CRL and its impact on the city. The event will be kindly hosted by Arup at their Britomart offices.
